[Dream Spotlight] Rica

Welcome to new issue of Dream Spotlight! As promised before, we'll talk a lot about one of popular prince, Rica-chan! (whoops)

We're also put him as our spotlight this time as we now celebrating traumerekingdom's 2nd Anniversary, and he's the "representative" since this was still on Tumblr! :D

As usual, before we start the main dish, here's his official data statistics:

Rica hails from Country of Chocolate, Chocolute. At first sight, we may see him like "is this person really a prince??????" as in his vanilla version story he's always mentioned to "going out for a while" -- which is actually hang out with his friends playing poker games and gambling, and refers himself as Dark to hide his real identity.

However, we can't deny that this lame excuses also impacts on how he can set a clever and nice strategy as of Main Story Season 2 Chapter 3, by using his gambling friends camouflaged as villagers handing out a promotion flyer of Chocolute's concour party to Cyril -- which actually is for luring him out and finally capture him on the venue.

Another example is on his Brand New Dream event version's Moon awakening story, which he takes Princess to age-restricted night club and met the DJ whom also Rica's friend (and eventually reveal that Rica can do a DJ mixing too!).

In other people's sights, Rica might appear as mighty yet rude person, because of his straight-forward and sometimes throwing blunt words -- but actually he's being honest, for examples are citing Creto is similar as a dog on Christmas Circus event, or laughing at Prytwen's embarassed face on PRINCE OR VILLAIN event. One thing that leads him to become extra popular until this day is on his vanilla Sun awakening story, when he did notoriously leg kabedon to the Princess -- something that normal people won't do (and if even anyone did this, we bet that person will get dumped soon, lol).

Despite of almighty acts to shown up in front of people, or even teasing the Princess in most of his event version's stories, he's actually hates for being alone, spending all time by himself is a big no. In his own story for Hour of Dusk Renewal event version, he even complaints "Is it only me, or I just felt being lonely?" Before that, it also mentioned on his vanilla Moon awakening story that sometimes he's sitting on the balcony looking up to the night sky to thrown away the loneliness feeling.

Coming out as winner of Japanese server's Prince Award in 2016, and later sitting out on top three in other countries' Prince Awards, making Rica's appearance in game and official artworks are more often, by setting these records below:

Appears on anniversary artwork 2 years in a row, in 2016 and 2017.

As of today, he has six event versions plus two special styles (Sweet Presents from Animate Girls Festival (AGF) 2016 and 1st Anniversary). Ironically, only one of them is freely given to all players, which is Brand New Dream version, while the rest of versions are stayed on limited event/revival gacha.

Appears on every Yume100's promotion of AGF (currently in 3 years streak).

As benefit of winning Prince Award, he's the first prince to have a dakimakura cover and a perfume released as merchandise, along with fellow runner-ups Saiga and Julius.

If you are noticing Rica's appearances from his debut through Sweets Panic event up to this day, we think it's drastically changed -- from having flashy ear pieces and tons of earrings (or even diamond-shaped hairpins) to simple yet nice, or even didn't wear any of them as of Brand New Dream event version's pre-awakened sprite. His hair also become longer (noticeable enough on Hour of Dusk Renewal moon awakening), we hope he didn't let those hair messed up like no tomorrow. :))
